I did not recall that Ra’s episode omg

basically Bruce is feeling down because he’s old and can’t do the things he did when he was younger, and Talia shows up and tells him that her father is dead and is like “beloved why don’t you refresh yourself in the Lazarus pit” and he agrees to it and they end up ~rekindling their romance and kiss. While he’s staying at her manor he overhears Ra’s talking and he rushes into the room and sees Talia and he’s like “Talia you fed me a line of shit, I heard Ra’s” and she’s like “I didn’t want you to find out this way…DETECTIVE”

and it’s revealed that Talia is actually dead and Ra’s took over her body so that he could continue being like 3000 years old. it’s actually kind of funny because from then on it’s Ra’s voice coming out of Talia’s body, lol.

I’ve been watching a lot of Batman Beyond lately, and I’ve realized that it’s kind of disturbing for a children’s show. I watched it when I was a kid but I don’t recall it being so morbid. Like, there was this one man who could transform himself into some sort of being that could move through solids, like walls and floors, and his powers frazzled out on him and he sunk uncontrollably through several stories of a building before sinking through the floor as he laughed hysterically.

And Terry said “what’s going to happen to him” and Bruce was like “OH HE’LL PROBABLY JUST CONTINUE TO SINK UNTIL HE REACHES THE EARTH’S CORE NO BIG DEAL”

And then of course there is the episode where Ra’s al Ghul takes over Talia’s body so he can live out some sort of long-repressed sexual fantasy with Bruce before taking over his body.
